This is just what I needed when the shower would leak when OTHER hot water devices were turned on in the house. Direct replacement, and solved the problem. We had already replaced the front end seals for on-off, but that didn't stop the leak when the hot water pressure dropped in the house.

It stopped the leak but it was pretty tight when you tighten the screws that hold it in. It is easy to strip the heads if you use a power drill. They are too long too. You might as well buy the part that attaches to it because you can neve tell which one is bad. While you are there replace both and save yourself the trouble of having to take it apart again.

Product is a little less expensive then Kohler site. I had trouble doing an order on the kohler site and they don't send receipt till after you recieve the product. So it takes me longer to get reinversed. Good communcation and shipping time. Bad is the Amazon not letting just buy the product without the 20 word review.
